Warning! Blake Shelton’s New Video for “Every Time I Hear That Song” Might Make You Nostalgic for a Lost Love

Blake Shelton released the new video for his current single, “Every Time I Hear That Song,” and it just might leaving you pining for your lost love.

The video has The Voice judge longing for an ex as he stands in a cold warehouse in the pouring rain. It may be raining in the video, but Blake isn’t getting wet. The rain surrounds him, keeping him at arm’s length from the girl he can’t get off his mind. Throughout the video, the girl appears as Blake reaches out to her, but alas, she’s just a figment of his imagination that the song conjures up.

“Every time I hear that song / I’m standing in the pouring rain / On your front lawn and oh-oh-oh / I still think about you oh-oh-oh / Every time I hear that song / It’s like the first time it came on and oh-oh-oh / I still think about you oh-oh-oh / I still think about you,” Blake sings in the chorus.

“Every Time I Hear That Song,” written by Chris Lindsey, Brad and Brett Warren and Aimee Mayo, is Blake’s fifth single from his current album, If I’m Honest. Previous releases from the album include “Came Here to Forget,” “Savior’s Shadow,” “She’s Got a Way With Words” and “A Guy With a Girl.”

The 40-year-old shared the new video with his fans via Twitter. Check out “Every Time I Hear That Song.”

Jason Isbell Celebrates 5 Years of Sobriety: “You Miss It for a Second, but Then You Think, ‘Thank God I Don’t Have to Put Up With It Anymore’”

Americana juggernaut Jason Isbell celebrated five years of sobriety yesterday (Feb. 6)—and what an amazing five years it’s been for the Grammy-winning artist. Since going to rehab in 2012, Jason has gotten married to Amanda Shires (2013), released award-winning albums Southeastern (2013) and Something More Than Free (2015), won two Grammys (2016) and welcomed a baby girl into the world (2015).

Jason made a simple announcement on Twitter to commemorate the feat.

Congrats on the milestone accomplishment, Jason.

In 2014, Jason sat down with Nash Country Daily to talk about his sobriety, and he was very candid about it.

Below is an excerpt of our conversation.

NCD: Do you remember the last drink you had?

“Yeah, it was moonshine. Well, I remember the last jug of moonshine that I had. I don’t remember what the bottom of it looked like, but I remember what the top of it looked like. We were in Virginia, so it was that stuff from like south of Richmond that’s really, really good—it’s been really good for the last 75 years. That was the last thing that I drank. It didn’t treat me well. I knew that I’d be going into rehab on Monday, so on Saturday night I tried to see how much I could get down and it was a bad experience for sure.”

Is drinking something that you miss?

“Yeah, I think alcoholics always miss it. But it’s something I don’t miss enough, at least right now, to go back to. In a lot of ways, it’s like somebody you dated that you knew was really bad for you but you had this kind of strong attraction anyway. You miss it in that same way. You miss it for a second, but then you think, ‘Thank God I don’t have to put up with it anymore.’”

Jamie Lynn Spears’ 8-Year-Old Daughter Hospitalized After ATV Accident

Singer/songwriter Jamie Lynn Spears’ 8-year-old daughter, Maddie, was hospitalized on Sunday, Feb. 5, after an ATV accident in which the child drove into a pond on family property and was submerged for a short period of time.

According to a statement on People by Tangipahoa Parish sheriff Daniel Edwards, the accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Feb. 5. Maddie was driving an ATV when she “over-corrected causing the ATV to enter the pond. The ATV and child were instantly submerged in the water right before their [Jamie Lynn and stepfather Jamie Watson] eyes.

“Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail. The child was trapped and secured by the seatbelt and the ATV’s safety netting. Within two minutes, Acadian Ambulance Services arrived and assisted in freeing the child from the cold waters.

“This is an extremely tragic accident. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking you to keep this family in your constant prayers as they try to cope with this horrible incident. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time of need.”

Keith Urban Co-Hosts “Today” Show & Reveals His Most Embarrassing Celebrity Encounter

Keith Urban Co-Hosts “Today” Show & Reveals His Most Embarrassing Celebrity Encounter

Following in the footsteps of Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire, Keith Urban took a turn behind the anchor desk this morning (Feb. 7) when he co-hosted the third hour of the Today show with Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones.

Along with his anchoring duties, the Aussie singer was asked to play a game of country confessions, where he pulled questions out of a cowboy boot (how very country) and confessed the answers.

The first question: Better accent, Southern or Australian? Keith played it safe by saying “Australia is Southern” before going into his own questionable Southern accent.

The next question was easier for Keith: What’s the craziest thing an audience member has ever done at one of your concerts?

“Someone from way out in the audience yelled out, ‘Will you sign my leg?’ I thought ‘This is great,'” Keith recalls. “I said ‘Yeah, this would be great, come up onstage and I’ll sign the leg.’ She disappeared and I couldn’t see her for a minute. Next minute she lobbed this prosthetic leg onto the stage. It hit the stage with a thud. So I signed it and thought, ‘What’s the proper prosthetic leg returning etiquette?’ Do you throw it back, do you have her come up and get it?”

Texas songbird SaraBeth stopped by NASH morning show Ty, Kelly and Chuck today (Feb. 7) to try her hand at the 10-minute tune, which challenges singer/songwriters to craft a tune—in 10 minutes or less—on a relevant topic of the day.

SaraBeth’s 10-minute topic: Tom Brady’s missing Super Bowl jersey, which was stolen from his locker after the big game on Sunday night.

Drawing inspiration from Tom’s surname, SaraBeth penned a Brady Bunch-themed ditty about the missing jersey, imploring the thief to “give back his shirt, ya jerk.”

Thomas Rhett Scores Seventh No. 1 With “Star of the Show”

Thomas Rhett Scores Seventh No. 1 With “Star of the Show”

Thomas Rhett has earned his seventh No. 1 song with his latest single, “Star of the Show,” which is No. 1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts.

“I was in Houston this weekend for the Super Bowl when I got the news,” said Thomas Rhett in a statement. “It made for a really fun start to the game, even though my Falcons didn’t pull through in the end! I’ve always known this song needed to have its moment, so it’s really sweet to be able to celebrate it now and with Lauren and my dad.”

The Tennessee native wrote the hit song with his dad Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, as an ode to his wife Lauren, who he’s known since kindergarten and married in 2012.

“‘Cause everywhere we go girl, you’re the star of the show / And everybody’s wondering and wanting to know / What’s your name, who’s that girl / With the prettiest smile in the world? / Oh, what gets me the most is you don’t even know / That you are, you are, you are the star of the show / The star of the show, baby,” Thomas Rhett sings in the chorus about his wife, who is also the lead female in the song’s video.

After finding that the song hit the top spot, TR went to his twitter page to thank radio and his fans for the success of the song he wrote three years ago.

TR’s previous No. 1s include “It Goes Like This,” “Get Me Some of That,” and “Make Me Wanna” from his debut album, It Goes Like This  and “Crash and Burn,” “Die a Happy Man,” and “T-Shirt” from his sophomore album, Tangled Up.

Congratulations to Thomas Rhett.
