Watch Brantley Gilbert Help Spread Holiday Cheer by Surprising Three Veterans With New Polaris ATVs

Brantley Gilbert helped spread some holiday cheer by partnering with Polaris and the Disabled American Veterans to surprise three U.S. vets and their families with new Polaris RZR off-road vehicles.

The three veterans—Brandon Marchioni, Mike Hammons and Dan O’Connor—and their families were invited to the High Lifter’s Off-Road Park in Louisiana under the guise of helping Polaris with a promotional video. Instead, the group was treated to a day of off-roading with Brantley and a private concert.

At the end of the day, Brantley helped Polaris and DAV surprise each family with a set of keys to their new Polaris RZR XP 1000.

“The vets give so much for all of us,” said Brantley. “To be able to team with a company like Polaris and have fun all day on their RZRs, then send the vets home with one? To me, that’s how we pass it on and make the holidays special for those unseen heroes.”

Brad Paisley Unveils Little Jimmy Dickens Wax Figure as Part of Nashville’s New Madame Tussauds Attraction

Brad Paisley Unveils Little Jimmy Dickens Wax Figure as Part of Nashville’s New Madame Tussauds Attraction

‌In honor of Little Jimmy Dickens’ birthday today (Dec. 19), Brad Paisley teamed up with world-renowned Madame Tussauds and the Grand Ole Opry to reveal Little Jimmy’s first wax figure that will be joining the new Nashville-area attraction, which is slated to open in the spring at Nashville’s Opry Mills.

Brad honored his late friend at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night (Dec. 17) by playing one of Little Jimmy’s songs, “Out Behind the Barn,” and unveiling the wax figure in front of a sold-out audience. Jimmy’s figure, which portrays him from the 1960s, shows the four-foot, 11-inch-singer in his signature rhinestone-studded suit, a “JD” ring, cowboy boots and cowboy hat. His figure’s smiling expression was decided by his wife, Mona, so visitors could experience the twinkle in his eye.

“I’m floored at the likeness,” Brad said. “Jimmy gave the Opry the personality it deserved. He was the kindest to new artists of anybody. He was never judgmental and he was always extremely supportive. He was a man who loved everyone and I’m honored to sing one of his songs [“Out Behind the Barn”].”

little-jimmy-waxMadame Tussauds Nashville attraction is a new interactive wax experience where guests have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s biggest musical icons. Each Madame Tussauds figure involves teams of professional artists and sculptors who spend months on extensive research and take more than 300 measurements to recreate world-famous icons.

The Nashville site will be themed Soundtrack of America and will celebrate iconic musicians from the past and present. It will also be the company’s first attraction in the U.S. that focuses solely on music icons that have shaped America’s musical landscape. Artists already announced for the Nashville attraction include Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Minnie Pearl, Johnny Cash and Taylor Swift, with many more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Reba McEntire Announces New Gospel Album, “Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope,” and Ryman Auditorium Concert

Reba McEntire Announces New Gospel Album, “Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope,” and Ryman Auditorium Concert

Reba McEntire had a few announcements to make Thursday night (Dec. 15) via a Facebook Live video chat. The singer talked about winding up the 2016 year and all the things she has coming up for an exciting 2017. We’ll let her tell you all about it.

“Here’s what I have to tell you,” Reba said in the video. “Of course we’ll be going back to Vegas with Brooks & Dunn—February, June and December of next year. Really excited about that. The people at Caesars Coliseum are so sweet to us, we have a wonderful time. We start back in February, so come see us. Also, we’ll be going to Europe to the Country 2 Country concert festival. We’ll be going to Glasgow, Scotland, London and then to Dublin, Ireland. That’s going to be a lot of fun. Those dates are March 10, 11 and 12.”

And here’s the kicker, Reba then proceeded to announce a new gospel album.

“And today was a really special day because I got to shoot a video for my new first single off of the brand new album that’s going to be released February the 3rd of 2017,” Reba continued. “It’s a gospel album. The new song that we did the video for today is called “Back to God.” Loved it, it was very inspirational. We got to shoot it in this beautiful church on the east side of Nashville.

“The new album is called Sing It Now. It will be released February the 3rd, 2017. It’s called Songs of Faith & Hope and that’s what’s in the album. It’s a double album. One album has 10 hymns on it, songs that I grew up singing all my life. And the other one are 10 brand-new songs. It’s a joint partnership with Nash Icon and Capitol Christian. I was thrilled to death to get to do a gospel album, I’ve been wanting to do one forever.”

Reba also went on to announce a new song called “Softly and Tenderly,” that she recorded with Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood. That song is available on iTunes today. Fans can download a new song every Friday between today (Dec. 16) and Feb. 3. Pre-orders include autographed album, t-shirt and more at reba.com.

And if that wasn’t enough, Reba will be performing one-night-only show at the Ryman Auditorium on Feb. 15, 2017. “I have never performed a complete show at the Ryman Auditorium,” she said.

Tickets went on sale last night (Dec. 15) and the event is already sold out.

Watch Blake Shelton Go GIRL Crazy on “Jimmy Kimmel” as He Talks About His Girlfriend, His Love of “The Golden Girls” & Performs “Guy With a Girl”

Fresh off of his coaching victory on The Voice, Blake Shelton stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live for the first time in two years last night (Dec. 15) for a sit-down interview and performance of his current single, “A Guy With a Girl.”

And Blake covered a lot of topics during the interview, including adjusting to life in L.A. where his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, lives; taking helicopter rides around Oklahoma; visiting Disneyland for the first time; and his love of The Golden Girls (spoiler alert, his favorite is Dorothy).

“But the fact remains that, you know, [Gwen’s] house is about, I don’t know, two miles from here, and it took, I don’t know, three hours to get here, so that sucks for anybody,” said Blake.

“I heard you bought a helicopter at your house in Oklahoma,” said Jimmy. “Is that correct? Is that true?”

Blake confessed to owning a helicopter and taking Gwen on a Bachelor-style dates around the Oklahoma area.

“We do,” said Blake. “We actually, we use that thing a lot. It gets a lot more use than you would think. I don’t fly it. I don’t know how to fly it.”

Watch the clip below.

Blake also performed his Top 10 single, “Guy With a Girl,” which you can watch below.

And there’s more from the interview below, including Blake talking about going to Disneyland for the first time and visiting Gwen’s childhood home, as well as his love of The Golden Girls.

Cole Swindell Says Goodbye to a Milestone 2016 and Looks Forward to the New Year

Cole Swindell Says Goodbye to a Milestone 2016 and Looks Forward to the New Year

2016 has been a memorable year for Cole Swindell. As the singer prepares to close out the year by finishing up his sold-out Down Home Tour this weekend, he took a moment to reminisce about a few of his accomplishments, including notching his sixth consecutive No.1 single, “Middle of a Memory,” winning the NSAI Songwriter/Artist of the Year, earning platinum certification for his self-titled debut album and celebrating the biggest song of his career, “You Should Be Here.”

“I look back on this year and am just overwhelmed with emotion,” said Cole in a statement. “I knew that music was powerful, but I never ever could have imagined what impact my music could truly have on other people and more importantly in turn what it has done for me. I wrote a song as a way to help myself through the grief of losing my dad. But it quickly became bigger than me as people began writing to me with the most incredible stories about how the song helped them through extraordinary life events. I knew then it wasn’t about me anymore. I hope my fans know they have helped me with every story, every ticket they have bought this year, every call to radio, and just showing up at my shows. ‘You Should Be Here’ has truly changed my life. I am truly truly blessed with a great team around me, great friends, great songwriting buddies, encouraging support from my friends at radio and media and most importantly blessed with the greatest fans in the world. 2016 was pretty amazing and it’s going to be really hard to top . . . but I’m up for the challenge!”

Cole’s Down Home Tour wraps up Dec. 15–17 with dates in Knoxville, Tenn., Greenville, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C., and he tells Nash Country Daily that he will be spending the holidays with family. “I took so much from ‘You Should Be Here’ thinking of people that should be here and now it’s got a whole new meaning,” said Cole. “We still have people that are here and you better take every chance to spend that time with them on Christmas, Thanksgiving and all the holidays. I can’t wait to take a break and get some good food and some good hugs.”

Now that’s how you end a milestone year!

In the Lead-Up to Christmas, Hunter Hayes Is Celebrating With “12 Days of Holiday Hayes” . . . But His Dog Seems Unimpressed [Watch]

In the Lead-Up to Christmas, Hunter Hayes Is Celebrating With “12 Days of Holiday Hayes” . . . But His Dog Seems Unimpressed [Watch]

In the lead-up to Christmas, Hunter Hayes has been releasing short videos of classic holiday tunes in what he is calling 12 Days of Holiday Hayes.

In the first installment posted on his Tumblr site, Hunter strums a guitar and sings an abbreviated version of “Let It Snow.”

But it’s the second post that caught our eye, when Hunter tickles the piano keys and sings “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” While we give his performance two thumbs up, check out Hunter’s tranquil dog, a greyhound named Cole, in the background. Cole seems unmoved by the ditty, but perhaps he is accustomed to daily performances from Hunter and only gets excited for full concerts with a light show.

Check out Hunter and Cole below.

Is it or isn’t it? It has long been argued among peers about whether or not Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas” is a Christmas song or not. Well, is it or isn’t it? We’ll let you decide.

screen-shot-2016-12-15-at-10-16-12-amYou may recall the song, written by Carol Hall, sung famously by Dolly Parton in the movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, when the ladies of the house are forced to shut down and leave town. If you haven’t seen the film, it’s a must-see.

In the meantime, Cyndi Lauper has recorded her own version of the song and invited special guest Alison Krauss to join her on the classic. The song is featured on Cyndi’s album of classic country covers, Detour, which dropped in May.

This isn’t Cyndi’s first foray into Christmas music. The pop icon recorded “Merry Christmas…Have  Nice Life” and collaborated with Frank Sinatra on “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and with The Hives on “A Christmas Duel.”

Check out Cyndi and Alison’s version of “Hard Candy Christmas.”
