KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI) – The Knox County Election Commission is set to meet Wednesday, June 17 at 8:30 a.m. in the Small Assembly Room at 400 Main Street.
During the meeting, commissioners will consider approval of the proposed operating budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
They are also expected to take multiple actions related to the August 6, 2026 election, including setting the official election time, approving early voting locations and hours, and finalizing the ballot and list of qualified candidates.
Additional agenda items include appointing election officials, absentee and provisional ballot counting board members, and machine technicians for the upcoming election. Commissioners will also review write-in candidate name lists and consider appeals for rejected voter registration forms.
A public forum will be held as part of the meeting, giving residents an opportunity to speak on agenda-related items.
